Here are some of the things I’ve seen over the last couple of months that might be of interest to our community (note: I post these as I come across them in the studios closed group for enrolled families link at the bottom)…

Shared from PBS & Kindermusik International …"We will all make plenty of mistakes as we raise and teach children, but the steady love of a caregiver can help children thrive, even when life is challenging."

It’s the time of year families deal with the new… new grade level, people, activities. So here’s a few tips on how to manage trying new things. This time the tips aren’t from a Kindermusik’s professional but they are from another source Big Life Journal

A funny video … how it looks & feels sometimes to guide our kids through a new kindermusik movement activity

Massage & Kindermusik… why touch is incorporated into Kindermusik activities explained by a kindermusik educator who is also an expert in massage

Video from an arts professional (opera in the modern world)… Advising parents & children in how to approach music from enjoyment to following a career path. I really like this take because following the arts as a career is not easy or for everyone (for multiple reasons). But art is important to people even if it can’t pay the bills. So figuring out how to keep the arts available to all, encourage & educating those who are passionate, finding career pathways, and managing your own choices are challenging. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/VpBBAakZSaQEYfj3/?mibextid=UalRPS

TikTok parenting content… I don’t believe there is only one way to parent successfully. However I do think the conscious, respectful parenting, kind parenting has some important benefits. Here is a video from a creator sharing some one liners that help some parents (note: keeping directions short & sweet is particularly helpful for younger children) https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTFyXSxR4/

I like to share modern music & artists with kindermusik families (especially American folk artists) and here is one of my favorites , Rhiannon Giddens, talking about making music AND being a parent. In the picture you can see she’s wearing one of her babies (this was a while ago). But this is so our vibe (I know my slang is showing how old I am) Had to Share…

just for fun music…

This group ( Les Fo’Plafonds) does fun, experimental, kid friendly covers https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTFy4dPQP/

More experimental music- See a percussionist prepare for the Water Concerto

Here’s the studio’s closed/private Facebook group for enrolled families..

Look for PrivateCommunity For KindermusikbySally Classes

And remember you’ll need to answer questions to join (basically which class you are in and following rules)

You can also ask me to send you an email to join if the link doesn’t work
